Till US Department Recently issued Level 2 travel consultation, Warning travelers “Exercise Increased Caution” due to crime and possibly shark attacks in the Bahamas.
A violent crime – including armed robbery, intruder and sexual attacks – can occur anywhere in the Bahamas, according to a statement from the State Department.

However, most crimes occur at the new Providence and the Grand Bahamas at the Freeport.
Travelers should remain vigilant in the “above mountain” area in Nasau, south of Shirley Street, where gangs have killed residents, the statement said.
They should also be cautious on vacation rental properties, especially when there is no private safety.
The State Department recommends blocking doors and windows and not responding to the door unless travelers do not know who this person is.

In addition to a statement on the crime, the State Department warned travelers of the risks to boating and visiting the beach.
Boating is not well regulated and injuries and deaths have been injured according to the statement.

The water pipe may not be safe until some operators are licensed or insured.
Due to risks, US government employees are prohibited from using jet skis and personal water vessels removed from independent operators in the new Providence and Paradise Islands.
Reactive ski operators have also been reported to sexual attacks, as well as Nassau beach center and nearby.
“Be aware of the surroundings and stay alert in public toilets,” the State Department advises.

In February, two American tourists were attacked at the popular Bahamas resort.
The woman’s swimmers were in Bimini Bay, part of the western island in the Bahamas and about 50 miles from Miami and was Airslifed to the new ProvidenceSeparate island in the Bahamas, for further treatment.
In December 2023, the 44 -year -old newlyweds from Massachusett Lauren Erikson Van Warts was killed with a shark, while with paddles less than a miles from the new end of Providence island.

Just a month later, sharks on January 15, 2024, when he was in a shark tank at a resort on Paradise Island, was a shark’s 10 -year -old boy’s leg from Maryland.
The State Department said in a statement to Fox News Digital that the Bahamas consultation was previously 2nd before the update on March 31.
The Bahamas Ministry of Tourism and Aviation did not immediately respond to Fox News Digital’s request to comment.
