Biden seen with anti-Israel book in Nantucket

Biden was spotted by the press as he left Nantucket Bookworks holding a copy of Columbia University professor emeritus Rashid Khalidi’s book, “The Hundred Year War on Palestine: A History of Colonialism and Resistance, 1917-2017,” according to the New York Post.

“I didn’t talk to the Post (or the Times for that matter), so it’s not for publication, but my reaction is that it’s four years too late,” Khalidi told the Post of Biden while holding his book.

The newspaper stated that it did not agree to any conditions Khalidi’s answer as off or in the background.

Fox News Digital has reached out to Khalidi and the White House.

The the book claims that “the modern history of Palestine can best be understood in these terms: as a colonial war against the indigenous people by various parties to force them to surrender their homeland to another people against their will.”

It was not clear if Biden purchased the book or if it was given to him.

Khalidi, who is of Palestinian and Lebanese descent, called the first Trump administration a “mouthpiece.” for Israel and criticized Israel for the humanitarian toll in Gaza after Hamas killed an estimated 1,200 people in Israel on October 7, 2023, and kidnapped hostages, including Americans.

“When you read the Israeli press, it’s completely unclear what their political goal is. I mean, ethnic cleansing. It’s not a political goal. They’re doing it. They’re driving the people of the northern Gaza Strip into the southern part of the Gaza Strip. But as far as you can tell, the Israeli press articles, it is completely unclear to me what their political goal is,” he said in the program “Paertverts”. Podcast in November 2023.

He also praised the first intifada Palestinians against Israel, which took place between 1987 and 1993 and killed more than 2,000 people, the Post wrote.

“The first intifada was a great example of popular resistance against oppression and can be seen as the first unmitigated victory for the Palestinians in the long colonial war that began in 1917,” the book says.
