Kalvina “CJ” parents dickey jr. submitted a trial against Bucknell University On Wednesday, almost a year after the 18 -year -old died after collapse during his first football practice with the team in the summer.
Mike Kaspino, a lawyer representing the family, announced a lawsuit during a press conference with Dicky’s parents.
“He was A great athleteHe was a great student and an incredible person in the area. And on July 12, 2024, he died of a very painful, very brutal death because of Bucknell University football coaches, “said Kaspino.

“Despite the fact that CJ Dickey died almost nine months ago, the school has deducted – not saying to parents about the circumstances and the facts about why he died. They refuse to tell them the story of how their son died … They hide what happened and we are forced to submit this trial.”

“He died a terrible, painful death that was 100% eliminable,” Kaspino said Wednesday.
In a statement, several outlets were called Bucknell’s death of “tragic losses”, but he will not comment on the forthcoming litigation.
“The death of a student is always tragic losses. Until the university comments on the unexplored litigation, we again observe sincere compassion for the CJ family, and we will continue to focus on our most important priority – the health and safety of all Bucknell students.”

According to the NCAA policy, all athletes must undergo a sickness test or achieve results from the test within six months of participation in sports activities. In the case of Diki, it was stated in the lawsuit that he had been tested positive and that the lecturer from Bucknell spoke to his mother before the incident on July 12.
The trial accused the university and other neglect and seek compensation and information related to Dickie’s death.
