Washington Post journalist Evgeny Robinson announced that he was leaving paper after 20 years in protest at the opinion edition decisions made by the billionaire owner Jeff Bezos.

Bezos formed the headlines when he announced that his paper would “write every day to support and defend the two pillars: personal freedoms and free markets” and that “opinions that oppose these pillars would be left to publish others”. This led to Post’s view editor David Sheplia, who objected to Bezos’s new mission.
